Pandey in fray for ECAN presidency
Kathmandu, February 21
Current vice-president of Educational Consultancy Association of Nepal, Prakash Pandey, today announced his candidacy for the chairmanship of the association, which is an umbrella organisation of consultancies across the country.
Organising a press meet in the capital, Pandey and other members of his panel announced candidacies for various top positions of the association. The Pandey-led panel has put forth 21-point agendas to make the association more active in the days to come.
Identifying new destinations for abroad studies, organising discussions, workshops and training programmes in coordination with foreign missions, taking initiatives for the construction of well-equipped building for ECAN as well as amending the directives related to educational consultancies and language training are some of the few agendas put forth by the Pandey panel.
Pandey, who also the executive director of Putalisadak-based Mate’s Education Consultancy, has announced his candidacy for the chairmanship in the organisation.
The candidates for the association’s vice-presidents from Pandey panel are Bishnu Hari Pandey, Salikram Bhandari and Yashoda Bhattarai.
Similarly, Santosh Pyakurel from Common Education Foundation has announced his candidacy for the post of general secretary.
Shreeram Paudel and Devidas Bhattarai are contending for secretaries and Khadga Tamling Limbu will compete for the post of treasurer and Ramesh Wagle for joint-treasurer.
Govinda Adhikari, Deepak Raj Bhusal, Nirupama Maharjan, Balkrishna Shrestha, Pradeep Mandal, Prakash Shrestha and Yagyabilash Paudel are the candidates for members from the Pandey panel.
However two candidates for members have yet to be announced. The election for the new leadership of the association is scheduled for February 27.
