KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 4

The Parsa District Court has issued an arrest warrant against 14 individuals, including Rastriya Swatantra Party Chairperson and former Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane, in connection with the alleged embezzlement of savings from Sano Paila Cooperatives Limited.

On Wednesday, the court authorized the Parsa District Police Office to detain and investigate the 14 individuals, including Lamichhane and former Gorkha Media Vice-Chairperson Chhabi Lal Joshi.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Kishor Lamsal of the Parsa District Police Office stated, "The Parsa District Court has granted permission to investigate the alleged embezzlement of Sano Paila Cooperative funds." He added, "We will proceed with the necessary investigation by arresting the accused as per legal procedures."

The statement of Rabi Lamichhane is currently being recorded in multiple districts, following the issuance of arrest warrants by the district courts of Kaski, Rupandehi, Kathmandu, and Chitwan.
