Passengers mop brows as airplane lands safely

Kathmandu, November 4:

An aircraft of the Yeti Airlines Pvt Ltd (SSB-340 9N AHM) which had taken off from Kathmandu for Pokhara at 12:20 yesterday with 21 passengers and three crew members aboard returned to Kathmandu as one of the main wheels on the left side of the aircraft detached and dropped to the ground. The aircraft (SSB-340 9N AHM) managed to make a safe landing at Kathmandu, according to Tribhuvan International Airport Civil Aviation Authority, Nepal Office.

The mishap took place in course of the fourth flight of the aircraft. The Civil Aviation Authority Office immediately initiated an inquiry in connection with the incident and in the course of the investigation, it issued directives not to keep the technicians related to the flight on the duty roster.
