Peace park inaugurated

Kathmandu, August 17:

A peace park constructed on the premises of the Ranipokhari was inaugurated amidst a function today. The park was constructed with the joint effort of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) and the Golchha organisation. The park was designed by engineer Rajinman Shrestha and constructed within a period of 15 months.

A clock tower, and a ‘peace pillar’, are some of the attractions of the park. Inaugurating the park together with Shekhar Golchha of the Golchha Organisation, the KMC chief executive officer, Surya Prasad Silwal, said the KMC is working for the beautification of the city with private partnership. Meanwhile, the Ranipokhari Fun Fair also began today.
