Peace process in 6 months:PM

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that the peace process would end within six months, in the meeting with UNMIN chief Karin Landgren on Tuesday morning at the latter's office in Baluwatar, Kathmandu.

In the meeting Landgren urged the PM to activate the Army Integration Special Committee (AISC) with reformation if necessary. AISC has been inactive with the resignation of Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' as the PM who is also a coordinator of the committee.

According to Rajan Bhattarai, PM's foreign affairs advisor she discussed about the Maoist combatants' adjustment and disqualified combatants' rehabilitation along with the peace process, constitution building process and government works.

Before going to report for the UN Security Council's meeting about Nepal today, Landgren had also met with Nepali Congress chairman Girija Prasad Koirala and Maoist boss Dahal on Monday
