Kathmandu, March 27

Chairperson of Freedom Forum Taranath Dahal today filed a petition at the National Information Commission seeking citizens’ easy access to offices inside Singha Durbar.

Dahal has stated in his petition that the right to information could be ensured only when the common citizens have easy access to government offices.

“However, as people are required to produce their citizenship certificates to enter Singha Durbar, they are facing hassles in getting information and giving their feedback on public policies,” states the petition.

Dahal has urged the commission to ensure easy entry of common citizens to Singha Durbar.
