Phasing out PCL wrong, say student leaders

KATHMANDU: Student leaders of Free Students' Unions of several colleges have demanded that Tribhuvan University and the government should withdraw the decision of phasing out Proficiency Certificate Level and dismissing the provision of assessment in masters degree level. Himal Sharma, president of FSU at TU said the decision of TU and government about phasing out is impractical and unethical. "Although TU could phase out PCL legally and technically, the country should first prepare its infrastructure for providing +2 educations to all SLC graduates" said Sharma.
