Plan to celebrate centennial of Scouts

Kathmandu, August 25:

It’s been a century since the first Scouts camp was instituted in the Brown Sea Island, England, in August 1907 and Scouts was born. To celebrate the centennial of the Scouts, scouts from Singapore, Australia and South Korea have gathered here.

The Nepal Scouts (NS) has named a 5890-metre high mountain Urkema in Lamtang area as Baden Powell Scout Peak, after the name of Lord Baden Powell, who founded scouts. The scouts are here also to trek through the Baden Powell Scout Track and climb the peak.
