KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli on Saturday appointed two members in his secretariat. Journalist Ram Sharan Bajgain has been appointed as the prime minister’s media expert, while Rajesh Bajracharya has been named personal secretary, according to Bajgain. Bajgain, who is the editor of a news portal, has been active in the field of journalism for over a decade. He has also worked with some of the major broadsheet dailies. Bajracharya has been with Prime Minister Oli’s secretariat for quite a while. He was also PM Oli’s personal secretary during his previous tenure as the prime minister. Similarly, Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa has proposed Surya Subedi as his chief political adviser. The Cabinet has to endorse the proposal for Subedi’s appointment. Thapa has also appointed four personal secretaries — his son Prateek Thapa, Achyut Panta, Biru Tamang, and Krishna Timilsena, according to Subedi. — HNS
