KATHMANDU: The maiden meeting of National Population Council, chaired by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, has appointed seven expert members in it on Tuesday,

The meeting also decided to manage all the population-related statistics as per the federal structure and opt for electronic documentation, according to the PM's Secretariat.

The experts appointed in the NPC are Prof Yogendra Bahadur, Prof Ram Sharan Pathak, Roshan Karki, Ganesh Bahadur Gurung, Mahendra Prasad Sharma, Padam Raj Bhatta and Dr Punam Labh Karna.

Deputy Prime Ministers Bimalendra Nidhi and Krishna Bahadur Mahara and Minister for Population and Environment, Jayadev Joshi, among other ministers were also present at the meeting.
