KATHMANDU, MAY 31

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal embarked on a four-day official visit to India earlier today.

The PM and his delegation left for India in Nepal Airlines's regular flight to New Delhi. The delegation includes Minister for Foreign Affairs Narayan Prakash Saud, Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Shakti Bahadur Basnet and Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Prakash Jwala, along with government officials, entrepreneurs and media-persons.

According to a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal, PM Dahal is scheduled to participate in delegation-level talks with his Indian counterpart, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, at Hyderabad House on June 1. The Indian Prime Minister will host a luncheon in honor of PM Dahal and his accompanying delegation.

During the visit, PM Dahal will also pay a courtesy call on the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar.

PM Dahal is scheduled to return home on May 3.
