KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Thursday directed Minister for Education Dhaniram Paudel and Minister for Health Gagan Kumar Thapa to address demands raised by Dr Govinda KC at the earliest.

Inviting the minister duo to his residence in Baluwatar today, PM directed them to take initiatives for ending Dr KC's 10th fast-unto-death at the earliest.

Demanding various reforms in Nepal's medical education sector, the senior orthopaedic surgeon at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital is the fast-unto-death for last 19 days.

In response, Paudel said the the ministers would work towards the end.
