PM gets Ramhari

Kathmandu, July 16:

A panel formed to probe the killing of businessman Ramhari Shrestha submitted its report to Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala today.

In its report, the probe panel headed by retired Supreme Court Justice Rajendra Kumar Bhandari said more than 10 persons, including Maoist commanders Bibidh and Atom, were involved in the murder. The panel also recommended the government to provide appropriate compensation to the family of the deceased.

According to a member of the probe panel, PLA personnel were involved in the killing of Shrestha. Additional Inspector General Amar Singh Shah and Joint-Government Attorney Saroj Prasad Gautam were members of the panel. According to the member, the PM would ask Home Minister Krishna Prasad Sitaula to act in line with findings of the report.
