PM Oli addresses Sudurpaschim party members in the capital today

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has addressed a meeting of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) leaders and cadres from the far-west close to his faction, in Kathmandu, today.

PM Oli attended the meeting and training programme of Sudurpaschim Province party members today afternoon at Babarmahal-based Karki Banquet.

In recent times, the location has been known as a meeting spot of the other NCP faction led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Madhav Kumar Nepal.

Among other matters, PM Oli was quick to express his dissatisfaction concerning the rival faction and Dahal during his address.

The ruling NCP had split on December 22 after Prime Minister Oli recommended to dissolve the House of Representative on December 20. The recommendation was then swiftly approved by President Bidya Devi Bhandari and what followed was the announcement of mid-term elections in April-May 2021.

The Election Commission, however, has yet to officiate the split.
