KATHMANDU: Newly elected Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli held a meeting with President Ram Baran Yadav at the latter's residence in Sheetal Niwas on Tuesday.

During the meeting, the duo discussed contemporary political situation of the country.

According to Oli’s personal secretariat, during the  meeting Prime Minister Oli said the government would begin dialogue with  the agitating parties. They also discussed the contemporary political  situation of the country, the secretariat said.

CPN-UML Chairman Oli met President Yadav for the first time today after being elected as the Prime Minister.

Oli was elected the 38th prime minister of Nepal by defeating Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala on Sunday.

President Yadav wished a successful tenure for Oli.
