PM Oli stresses promoting technical education

Kathmandu, May 12

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today stressed on promoting technical and vocational education.

Inaugurating a two-day seventh national convention of Higher Secondary Schools Association of Nepal, he said, “Nepali youths are forced to go abroad due to lack of employment opportunities at home.

If we could promote technical and vocational education, they would not have to go abroad for employment,” he said, adding that the country had been lagging behind in terms of development due to lack of technical manpower.

He said children should be allowed to study the subject of their choice instead of being forced to study what parents wanted.

He also stated that education was the fundamental right of all.
