Kathmandu, March 24:

PM Girija Prasad Koirala today received scout ordination as its patron. Koirala took the oath of scout in a uniform of Nepal Scout (NS) as per the Amended Act of the Nepal Scout -2063 BS, at a convocation ceremony organised at his residence in Baluwatar.

Chief commissioner of the NS Shree Ram Lamichhane had proffered a scarf of patron to PM Koirala.

PM Koirala is the first prime minister of Nepal to receive the scout ordination in NS uniform.

Chief scout, Minister for Education and Sports, Prof Dr Mangal Siddhi Manandhar also attended the function.
