PM to expand Cabinet today

KATHMANDU: PrimeĀ  Minister KP Sharma Oli is likely to expand his Cabinet on Thursday.

Oli is likely to induct some leaders of Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Nepal Pariwar Dal, Samajbadi Janata Party and Janamukti Party as ministers in his Cabinet.

According to the sources, arrangements have been made to organise an oath-taking ceremony at the Sheetal Niwas at 5 pm today.

Meanwhile, some ministries would be split today so that all the ministers would get separate portfolios, according to the sources.

A Cabinet meeting to be held this afternoon would take a decision to this effect.

Currently, there are 30 members in the Cabinet, including the Prime Minister, six deputy prime ministers, 17 ministers, four state ministers and two assistant ministers.
