Police find dead man, wounded son
Kathmandu, June 24:
Police this afternoon found a beheaded body of Hemraj Lamichhane, 45, along with his seriously injured 12-year-old-son at Laxmiphedi village development committee-6, Kathmandu.
Lamichhane’s body was found in a shrub, 20 metres away from the Badeshala section of the Ratnapark-Sankhu road, while his son was crying beside the body.
Wounds dot the boy’s body and he has been admitted to Nepal Medical College, Attarkhel, where his condition is critical, police said.
The police added Lamichhane was living at Mulpani with his wife and the son in a rented room.
“This morning, a group of 3-5 persons came to the house and took away my husband and son saying they wanted to talk to them,” inspector Shiva Bahadur Singh quoted Lamichhane’s wife as saying.
Singh said that Lamichhane was involved in a dispute with some people over a plot of land at Mulpani in Kathmandu.
Lamichhane’s wife told us she knew the people who took away her husband and son, but refused to name them, Singh said. He added that they have caught three persons in this connection for interrogation.
