Police imposter held for fraud
KATHMANDU: Police on Friday arrested a youth after he allegedly defrauded members of the public posing himself as an assistant sub-inspector of Nepal Police.
Anup Baral (32) from Urlabari-7 of Morang district claimed that he worked at the Teku-based Metropolitan Police Range and extorted money from the public, according to police.
He was arrested with Rs 11,035 cash from Pepsicola of Kathmandu yesterday.
Further investigation is underway.
