Policy sought for scribes working outside capital
Kathmandu, May 25 :
Chairman of Federation of Nepalese Journalists, Rupandehi branch, DR Ghimire, today called on the government to draft a separate policy to deal with journalists working outside the capital city.
Addressing an interaction at Martin Chautari, the FNJ Rupandehi branch chairman said media persons in small towns and villages work at entirely different atmosphere so they need special attention from the government if it expects development of media al over the country.
He demanded that local papers be prioritised while giving local advertisements before they are sent to the newspapers in the capital. He said journalism is growing independently across the country.
