Political unity against graft
Kathmandu, December 9:
Representatives of major political parties today expressed commitment to maintain transparency in their financial activities in the days to come.
Speaking at an interaction organised by Transparency International Nepal, they admitted that there existed corruption in all state mechanisms, social institutions and political parties.
Constituent Assembly chairman Subas Chandra Nembang asked the political leadership to maintain transparency in their financial activities. He also urged the political parties to work for the approval of the International Convention against Corruption through the legislature parliament at the earliest. Nembang also requested them to arrange for measures to control corruption in the new constitution.
