Power cut to increase to 4 hrs

KATHMANDU: Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) is increasing the load shedding hours to four hours per day with effect from Saturday.

With the new schedule the nation will witness power cuts of two hours each in the morning and evening.

The NEA has said that it had to come up with a new schedule as the water levels in the rivers have decreased. As a result it has not been able to generate sufficient electricity to meet the people’s demand.
