KATHMANDU: UCPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' today claimed that their campaign for 'national sovereignty' and 'civilian supremacy' is heading towards a decisive end.

Issuing a joint-statement with General Secretary Ram Bahadur Thapa 'Badal' on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the Maoist People's War, Prachanda also underlined the need for a joint front of patriots, leftists and republican democratic forces in the country to achieve the goal. He also said that there are opportunities as well as challenges of attaining the goal.

On the occasion, Prachanda also expressed his condolences to those who lost their lives and properties and who were maimed or disappeared during the decade-long People's War.
