Mahat urges youths to spread message of peace
Kathmandu, June 5
Minister for Foreign Affairs Prakash Sharan Mahat has urged Nepali youths to spread the message of peace and beauty across the globe.
Bidding farewell to a group of youths embarking on a goodwill visit to nine Asian countries on the occasion of the World Environment Day on Monday, Minister Dr Mahat said, “Youths can play a significant role in spreading the message of peace and natural beauty of Nepal.”
Five youths Dipak Poudel, Shyam Prasad Subedi, Suraj Adhikari, Ramesh Dhital and Ram Krishna Nepal left the country for a visit to India, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. They are traveling these countries on motorcycles.
On the occasion, Minister Mahat stressed that time has come for every Nepali to inform the world about Nepal’s love for peace, and the reality that the Propounder of Peace and non-violence Gautam Buddha was born in Nepal. The visit will last for 101 days. The youths are spreading the message of peace and environment conservation.
