KATHMANDU: President Bidhya Devi Bhandari on Saturday condoled the death of people  in the accident in Gajuri of Dhading.

At least 31 persons were killed  and scores of others injured when a bus heading to Kathmandu from Rajbiraj of Saptari plunged into the Trishuli River on Saturday morning.

A press release issued by the Office of the President said Bhandari was  saddened by the death of people and her thoughts were with the families of the deceased, injured and those missing in the accident. She has also wished the injured speedy recovery, read the release.

Prime  Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba also condoled the death of people in the  accident.
