KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari stressed speeding up the new construction and reconstruction projects damaged by the April earthquake last year.

While inaugurating the 35th National Management Convention and Annual General Meeting of Management Association of Nepal here on Friday, President Bhandari stressed speeding up the quake damaged public houses, historical monuments, educational institutions, administrative buildings among other public and private properties.

She added that such new construction and reconstruction mega campaigns were already begun therefore national unity was needed to make them successful.

President Bhandari said that the nation has faced adverse effect in economic development due to conflict, political transition and April earthquake.

Handing over the awards to the best management professionals on the occasion, President Bhandari urged them to utilize their capabilities for the economic and social development of the country as well as new development and construction works.
