KATHMANDU; President Dr Ram Baran Yadav today conferred Nepal Bidhya Bhusan Award and Nepal Chhatra Bidhyapadak to 232 students, scholars and

PhD holders on the occasion of National Education Day and International Literacy Day.

The President awarded ‘A’ category of Nepal Bidhya Bhusan Award to 117 students, ‘B’ category to 61 and ‘C’ category to 13 students for their outstanding academic performance. Forty-one women were also given away Nepal Chhatra Bidhyapadak on the occasion.

Nepal Bidhya Bhusan ‘A’ is given to Nepali PhD holders from national and international universities, ‘B’ to Masters’ level toppers, ‘C’ to Bachelors’ level toppers and Nepal Chhatra Bidhyapadak to Bachelors’ and Intermediate level highest scoring ladies.
