PM stresses on effective execution of constitution

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba extended his best wishes to all Nepalis on the occasion of the Constitution Day that is being observed tomorrow.
In a statement issued today, the PM described Nepal’s constitution as the world’s best, saying that it incorporated federalism, separation of powers, periodic elections, human rights, participatory political system and independent judiciary, among other things.
“As our constitution completes two years of its making and now enters the third year, all of us should be focused on its implementation,” read the statement. “For successful and effective implementation of the constitution, it is imperative that all democratic institutions be strengthened. The Nepal government is committed to implementation of the statute,” it read.
The PM stated that the country’s political transition would end with implementation of the statute and the country would enter the phase of stability and economic growth.
