Problems of varsities discussed

Kathmandu, June 17:

The Minister of Education and Sports (MoES), Pradip Nepal, today held a meeting with vice-chancellors of all the five universities and other education related institutions in the country to discuss the problems they are facing.

The meeting was attended by VCs of the Tribhuvan University, Lumbini Bouddha University, Kathmandu University, Purvanchal University and Nepal Sanskrit University and vice-president of the Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT), chairman of University Grant Commission and other education experts, said Laba Prasad Tripathee, the MoES spokesperson.

“However, the meeting concluded without any conclusion regarding the issues of universities that did not have top officials for more than a year,” Uddap Puri, assistant to the VC of Lumbini Bouddha University, said.
