KATHMANDU: Prof Dr Shree Krishna Giri has been appointed the chief of Policy, Plan and International Cooperation Division under the Ministry of Health.

Giri was transferred to the division from Trauma Centre following the ministerial level decision made by Health Minister Giriraj Mani Pokharel on Thursday.

Earlier, Giri was the chief of orthopaedic department at the Centre.

Giri is assuming the office today.

Prior to this, Dr Bhogendra Raj Dotel was the chief of the division.

It has been stated that no responsibility has been given to Dotel.
