KATHMANDU: Police said property worth Rs 249,000 has been gutted in a fire in Naikal of Suryabinayak Municipality-8 of Bhaktapur district on Monday.

Police said fire sparked from the kitchen at a makeshift hut of Thuli Maya Tamang.

Locals along with security personnel had contained the inferno.

Meanwhile, police said they are looking into the case.
