Property looted
Kathmandu, December 12:
In different looting cases in Kathmandu Valley, robbers made away with cash and property worth over Rs 500,000.
An armed group of four to five people broke into the house of one Krishna Maharjan at Kuleswor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-14 at around 2 am and looted Rs 320,000 in cash and 65 tolas of golden ornaments, police said.
They also took Rs 10,000 in cash and a mobile phone set from Govinda Gopali who lives in a rented room in Maharjan’s house.
In another incident, five to six people looted property worth Rs 110,000 from the house of Hira Kajee Shrestha at Bode of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality-3. One of the looters had brandished a pistol while the others had khukuris. The incident took place at around 7 pm yesterday. Shrestha lives in a rented apartment in a house belonging to Hom Bahadur Khadka.
The looters took away ornaments, a mobile phone set, a CD player, two watches and a phone set, police said.
In another incident, looters took away property worth Rs 50,000 from the house of Suman Sachin of Inacho Golmadi of Bhaktapur Municipality-6 yesterday evening.
