KATHMANDU: Property worth around Rs 400,000 was gutted when an unattended hut caught fire, in Mahalaxmi Municipality-2 of Lalitpur district on Wednesday.

According to police, the house that caught fire belonged to Murali Prasad Sharma.

The property gutted included furniture, clothes, utensils and food grains, police added.

Police brought the fire under control with the help of locals.

Further investigation into the case is underway.
