Protest postpones house meet

KATHMANDU: The meeting of the legislature parliament has been postponed for the sixth time due to the protest by the Maoist Constituent Assembly members on Monday. The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday at 1 pm.

The meeting scheduled to discuss federal matters, constitution assembly, parliamentary system and other issues of the Culture Ministry and Communication Ministry was postponed as the Maoists CA members surrounded the rostrum of the house shouting slogans. They have been demanding discussion on the President’s move in the Chief of Army Staff’s (CoAS) case and fulfillment of the Prime Minister’s commitment regarding civilian supremacy.
