KATHMANDU: Nepali Hindus celebrated Ram Navami festival across the nation by worshipping Lord Ram on Friday. This festival commemorates the birth of Lord Ram, the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu, who was born to King Dasharatha and Queen Kaushalya of Ayodhya. People thronged Ram Mandir, Battisputali and other shrines in across the country from the wee hours to observe the festival. The government had declared a one-day national holiday on the occasion.
