Shrestha named AG
KATHMANDU: Advocate Raman Kumar Shrestha has been recommended as the new Attorney General. A Cabinet meeting on Friday recommended his name for the post.
Earlier, on Tuesday, Attorney General Hari Phuyal had tendered his resignation from his post after CPM-UML Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal was elected the new prime minister.
Meanwhile, joint secretaries Lavadev Awasti and Rajeshwor Man Singh have been promoted as secretaries, according to Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Krishna Bahadur Mahara.
Likewise, the meeting also appointed Jokh Bahadur Mahara as the prime minister’s chief personal secretary. Separately, the PM today appointed his son Prakash Dahal and Ramesh Malla as personal secretaries.
