Rastrakavi Ghimire's health improves
KATHMANDU: Rastrakavi Madhav Prasad Ghimire who is being treated at the Medanta Hospital in New Delhi is gaining health. Issuing a statement on Friday, the Embassy of Nepal in India said that the Rastrakavi is receiving treatment at the high-care unit at the Gudgaon based hospital and is now seeing improvement.
Ghimire was taken to Medanta after receiving initial treatment at the Grande Hospital in Kathmandu.
The hospital's director Dr Naresh Trehan and Dr Randheer Sood, who is looking after the Rastrakavi's case, have said that they have performed endoscopy, colonoscopy and capsule endoscopy and Ghimire is showing improvement. The treatment will continue for a few more days, the statement reads.
The government of Nepal will take care of the national poet's medical expenses.
