The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has initiated investigation into the Rautahat incident that claimed the lives of dozens of people during a clash between the activists of the Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum and the CPN-Maoist. NHRC officials have already reached the spot to look into the incident, NHRC said on Thursday. Meanwhile, the Human Rights and Peace Society said on Thursday that the Rautahat incident has stunned the organisation.
