Rawal off to China

KATHMANDU: Minister for Home Affairs Bhim Bahadur Rawal today embarked on an official visit to China, leading a Nepali delegation.

He is accompanied by IG of Nepal Police Ramesh Chand Thakuri, chief of Armed Police Force Sanat Kumar Basnet, chief of National Investigation Department Ashok Dev Bhatta, among others.

The visit is expected to focus on strengthening Nepal’s bilateral security relations with the northern neighbour.

Talking to mediapersons at the Tribhuvan

International Airport, minister Rawal said he would seek support from China to enhance border security and combat cross-border crimes.

He is also seeking Chinese aid to equip Nepali security agencies.

The Nepali delegation will also acquire information on best practices

followed by Chinese

metropolitan cities during the visit.
