KATHMANDU: Rotary Club of Boudha, along with seven other clubs, successfully planted 500 trees at Kapan Tapu Community Forest area.

As the Rotary International District 3292 has set a remarkable goal of planting 50,000 trees, RC Boudha initiated a tree plantation campaign today, said Ngima Lama Sherpa Secretary, Rotary Club of Boudha.

"At least 500 tree saplings were planted at Kapan Tapu Community Forest, within the zone of the Nepal Police Special Task Force area," he added. SSP Dayanand Gyawali allowed the RC Boudha and other clubs to jointly plant trees at the police-controlled area of the forest, he informed.

On the occasion, police officials and members of the clubs expressed their generous commitment to protect nature for the betterment of human lives. RC Boudha along with other clubs would continue its social services in the coming days, said Sherpa.
