Report SLC papers’ leak, OCE urges all
Bhaktapur, April 8:
The Office of the Controller of Examination (OCE) today appealed to the students, teachers, parents and all other concerned stakeholders to report to the police “if they find anyone trying to sell fake SLC question papers”.
“We are receiving information that various people are involved in criminal activities and making big money by selling fake question papers,” said deputy controller Sunder Shakya. “The people involved in such activities will be punished if found guilty. The students should not be involved in such acts,” he said.
The OCE urged the examinees to take their examinations seriously and not to pay attention to such rumours. The government formed a three-member probe committee headed by Kedar Prasad Poudel, joint secretary at the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, on April 5 and asked it to submit a report within 15 days after it was confirmed that Compulsory Nepali paper was leaked out in Bhaktapur. The OCE cancelled the examination of Compulsory Nepali in Bhaktapur district.
“We want to assure the examinees and parents that there is no truth behind the rumours about leaking out of other SLC question papers,” said Shakya.
Arjun Bahadur Bhandari, acting OCE controller, has started his work after he was transferred to the OCE from the Ministry of Education and Sports.
The government transferred former controller and some another officials to the ministry on April 6 after the Bhaktapur incident.
