BHAKTAPUR: Minister for Industry Mahesh Basnet has said that restoration of the monuments, temples and heritage sites that were destroyed in the massive earthquake is government’s top priority.

During a visit to the Doleshwor Temple on the first day of a monthlong festival, Minister Basnet said the government had allocated 10 per cent of the total budget for the reconstruction of heritage sites.

Minister Basnet also pledged his utmost support for the reconstruction of the main Doleshwor Mahadev Temple.

The Kedarnathko Shir Doleshwor Mahadev Conservation and Development Committee, Trinetra Adhyatma Chintan Centre and Omkar Dhwoni are jointly organising the festival on the temple premises for a month.
