Road connecting Balkhu with Bhagwati Temple opened
Kathmandu: The chief district officer of Kathmandu, Shushil Ghimire, and executive officer of the Kathmandu Metropolis Corporation, Hemsharma Pokharel, opened a 300-metre-long black-topped road in Balkhu on Saturday. The road, which connects Balkhu with the Bhagawati
Temple, was black-topped with financial assistance of Rs 1.3 million from the Kathmandu Metropolitan Corporation. “The road will benefit most of the people living in the Kumari Club area,” said Krishna Gopal Shrestha, a former minister of state. Ghimire urged the locals to set up a revolving fund so that it could be utilised for maintaing the road. — HNS
