RPP forms struggle committee under Buddhiman Tamang's command
KATHMANDU: Rastriya Prajatantra Party has formed a committee comprising of party's central members in order to effectively operate the recently announced 'struggle programmes' to push forward their demands.
The struggle committee formed under the leadership of senior Deputy-Chair Buddhiman Tamang consists of RPP Chairman Kamal Thapa, leaders Deepak Bohora and Bimal Gharti Magar as advisers, and General Secretary Bhaskar Bhadra as Member Secretary.
Members of newly formed committee comprises party's central officers and members, chairs of province work-committee, departmental heads, chiefs of sister organisations and chairs of three districts of the Kathmandu Valley.
Addressing an event at the party central office in Dhumbarahi today, party chair Thapa directed all levels of the party to stay alert in order to make the people's struggle movement a success.
Thapa said that the time has come for all political parties to rise above their individual interests for the protection of nationalism, strengthening of democracy and establishment of sovereign and prosperous Nepal, party's co- General Secretary Rajaram Bartaula informed.
At the event, Thapa also stressed on the necessity of a round-table talk addressing several 'contentious' issues. The meeting further demanded a referendum on reinstatement of Hindu-state, reinstatement of Constritutional Monarchy while expressing doubts on the federal republican system stating the secular federal-republic structure has failed to bring stability in the nation.
