RPP leader Sharma passes away

Kathmandu, November 22:

Former minister and senior leader of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party Rabindra Nath Sharma passed away this evening at Blue Cross Nursing Home, where he was undergoing treatment for the past 11 days.

Seventy-seven-year old Sharma was declared dead at around 9 pm. Following the news of his demise, leaders and activists of the RPP reached the hospital. Pashupati Shumsher JB Rana, Dhruba Bahadur Pradhan, Biswobandhu Thapa, Toran Bahadur Gurung, Dr Tulsi Giri, Surya Bahadur Thapa and Dipak Bohora went there to condole his death. Sharma was suffering from kidney ailment and diabetes. According to RPP leader Roshan Karki, Sharma’s body would be kept at the RPP office Chabahil till noon on Sunday for people to pay tributes before performing last rites.

He is survived by three sons, three daughters and wife Saroj Gyawali.
