KATHMANDU, JUNE 1

Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chair Rabi Lamichhane has left for India on a five-day visit at the invitation of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Nitin Navin.

Lamichhane departed for India on Monday along with his wife Nikita Poudel, RSP Co-General Secretary and House of Representatives member Bipin Kumar Acharya, Secretariat member and lawmaker Deepak Bohora, and Pradeep Acharya.

According to RSP spokesperson Manish Jha, the delegation will remain in India from June 1 to 5 and hold high-level political and diplomatic meetings in New Delhi.

The visit includes meetings with senior BJP leaders, members of the Nepali community in India and party well-wishers.

Lamichhane is also scheduled to visit Ayodhya during the trip.

The party said the Nepali Embassy in New Delhi is coordinating the high-level meetings and visit arrangements.

Earlier, the BJP had also officially announced Lamichhane's India visit, stating that the RSP delegation would hold discussions with BJP president Nitin Navin and other senior leaders.
