Ruling parties, UDMF discuss local polls, other issues

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal today called a meeting of the leaders from ruling parties and the United Democratic Madhesi Front at the PM's residence in Baluwatar.

According to the PM's Secretariat, leaders in the meeting discussed the Constitution amendment bill, Local Bodies Restructuring Committee report and the local elections among contemporary political issues.

PM meanwhile looks forward to arranging a separate meeting with the Madhes-based parties and reach an agreement with them, according to sources.

PM Dahal has already held a meeting with Speaker Onsari Gharti Magar in the matter.
