KATHMANDU: Vyacheslav Mikhailovich Lebedev, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation is in Kathmandu on a four-day visit. Chief Justice, Min Bahadur Rayamajhi, received his Russian counterpart at the Tribhuvan International Airport Tuesday. Alexander Y Korchagin, Chairman of Stavropol Regional Court of Russia Federation; Alexey D Shishkin, Chairman of Penza Regional Court of Russia are also accompanying justice Vyacheslav. They will meet President Dr Ram Baran Yaadav, Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal and Minister of Law and Justice Prem Bahadur Singh. The delegation is also visiting key historical and religious sites in Nepal, including Lumbini, during their stay in Nepal. CJ Rayamajhi hosted a dinner to the visiting team this evening. On the occasion, the CJ lauded the contribution being made by Russian judiciary to Nepalese legal system.
