Sama remembered
Kathmandu:
The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Ward No 1 and the Nepali Education Council (NEC) on Wednesday jointly organised a function to mark the 105th birth anniversary of dramatist Bal Krishna Sama.
Various litterateurs and KMC officials garlanded Sama’s statue. Addressing the programme, NEC member-secretary Rama Sharma said literary figures like Sama should be respected and remembered for their contribution to the development of language and literature.
Dr Mohan Himanshu Thapa, the first person to do his doctorate on Sama’s drama, suggested that Sama should be declared a national dramatist.
